Fanta's Sky
Center space of delicious, purplish, aquamarine
Outlined with glossy, frosty, black
Overlaid with reaches of trees
Custom made for Fanta and me
Envision a grand flourish, a robust flair
The arching path of a vibrant soul
A ribbon from a sky maiden’s hair
Clear bright night, creating a moonbow
Today she pranced on tiptoes, tracing her steps
With mud danced from Mississippi, Amazon & Nile
Loved the feeling, she giggled, smiled
Rubbed the sweet ceiling with innocence
Which welcomed the mixture with succulence
Now watercoloring sifts away
As the tender breeze sleeps
Fluorescent pencils slip from fingers
Graceful mystic painting lingers
Fading to foggy magic stuff
In Fanta’s sky
Good Night

This moonbow, this rarity of nature, was seen in the sky over Chicago as viewed from Church Street in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood.
